Flatworms are creatures that have evolved less then other creatures that are higher on the phylogenetic tree. They have incomplete digestive systems, meaning that food comes in and out the same hole. The food comes in the oral cavity and is then digested. After the food is digested, the food comes back out the same way. they depend completely on it's host to digest their food.
