Find the solution to the system of equations by graphing. x-y=6 -2x+y=-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^&*%^&$@# gahhh. o.0 :P Ad i have another problem i don't gettt. D:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Graph it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isolate y and plug in x values to see what you get for y for example x-y=6 x-6=y Ok if I plug x=0 y=-6 thats the point (0,-6) Ok if I plug x=1 y=-5 thats the point (1,-5) Two points draw a line between them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the lines cross each other at 1 point, then that is the solution =)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats your graph now do the same for the second one. Like smoothmath said if the lines intersect at a point, then that point is the solution.

I see, thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@seashell hahaha, yeahh..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

;D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to graph them easily, just plug in x=0 solve for y, plug in y=0 solve for x. in other words, find the x, y intercepts for both lines.
