Does the equation y = 0.50(1.06)x represent growth or decay?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plug in x=0 and see what y you get then plug in x=1 and see what y you get. Does the y get bigger from when x=0 to when x=1? if it did then it grew or there was growth. if the value is smaller then there was decay.

As simple as I can say it hope you understand.
