how do i find the eight term of each geometric sequnce. 3,9,27

Parth (parthkohli):

It's simply \(\large 3^n\). \(\large 3^8\) in this case.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isn't there an eqaution though?

Parth (parthkohli):

I just told you. \(\Huge G_n = 3^n\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so how would that work for this: -30,7.5,-1.8875

Parth (parthkohli):

Find the common ratio. 7.5/-30

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Parth (parthkohli):

And then multiply the common ratio as many times as you can to get the next solutions.
