Find grammatical mistakes in the given sentence and correct the sentence. No less than fifty men were injured in the accident.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't see any mistakes 8o)

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

Seems good to me. :S

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The word fifty should be written as 50. Only numbers under 10 need to be written out in word-form.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^ it can be written out. my teachers don't take off points for spelling it out. its better to spell it out anyways. @sara-ali Looks good.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's not always "better" to write out a number. My college instructors DO mark points off for spelling out numbers over 10.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Over 50/fifty men were injured in the accident. (??)

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

yeah, it is always good to spell numbers out if they are one word long. What @tanvidais13 says, seems one possible answer to this hmm..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you think the fifty is ok, then maybe the problem is the passive voice (were injured).

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

Well the passive voice seems good as well to me. Hmm..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"then" should be "than"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It IS "than." Where do you see "then"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The way the question is written tells me there IS a mistake. Maybe sara-ali can come back and give us more information as to what she is looking for...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like i said, i still think it's "Over 50/fifty men were injured in the accident."
