I THINK IT'S B. 128 FEET PER SECOND?The formula below gives V, the velocity in feet per second of a falling object t seconds after it has been dropped. V(t) = 32t If a piano is dropped off a cliff, how fast will it be falling after 4 seconds? A.64 feet per second B.128 feet per second C.256 feet per second D.36 feet per second

OpenStudy (phi):

Yes. When you have a formula like V=32t ft/sec that means V (velocity) equals 32 times t where t is the number of seconds so if you are told t=4 seconds (same thing "falling for 4 seconds") you just replace t with 4 V= 32*4 Now it is arithmetic: multiply 4*32= 128 ft/sec
