It's a net of a polyhedron. Basically, you fold it up and it makes a figure.

No I don't. These are just practice problems I found to help me. This one happens to not have any answer choices.
I think it's 18 too though. Because it's an octahedron and when you count the sides an vertices, that equals 18.
6 vertices + 12 sides ... well that is the best i could come up with!
