yes - i'm thinking - I'm a bit rusty with these i think its best t change the equation into vertex form

x^2 + 12x + 6 = (x + 6)^2 - 36 + 6 = (x + 6)^2 - 30 the + 6 gives movement to left and - 30 moves the graph down 30 so now you can choose
