Tara woke up in the morning with a sore throat. She went to school and as the day went on her muscles started to ache and she started to develop a fever. Her fever is an example of what type of immune response? Internal non-specific External non-specific Humoral Cell mediated

This would be internal non-specific response. The fever will increase temperature. There are two non specific responses eternal and internal. External: will be -skin, saliva, tears, and mucus in the throat and the nose. Internal will be the inflammatory response.-Pathogens will trigger the body to release histamines. -Histamines will increase blood flow to the area which will cause it swell, such as when you get a splinter in your finger. -The increase in blood flow will bring white blood cells to the area. (Many of these white blood cells will be phagocytes, which surround and engulf the bacteria cells.) -Fever (increases our body temperature.) -Slows down or kills pathogens. -Will speed up some of our immune mechanisms. Hope that helps! n_n
