Sorry...on phone. hmm...I'm really not sure. I believe the best answer is that they misinterpreted facts and data...although Copernicus did this a lot more than Kepler. Maybe someone else will chime in on this question.

My second choice would probably be that they came from different cultures... I don't like this question, it's subjective :P

Well, the best answer in my opinion is that they misinterpreted facts and data and I'll explain why: 1) They didn't disagree professionally...their lives didn't overlap. 2) The essentially lived in the same part of the world during the roughly the same period...so the cultures were probably not THAT much different. 3) I believe they both had similar goals and interested.
