Natalie made a mistake in the following problem. Part 1) In which line was the mistake made? Part 2) Show your work and give the correct answer? Line 1 6(4) ÷ 2 − 1 + 5 Line 2 6(4) ÷ 1 + 5 Line 3 24 ÷ 1 + 5 Line 4 24 + 5 Line 5 29
Copy the first line onto somewhere else and do the equation, find where it doesn't match. Let me know if you run into issues with a line.
Isn't she supposed to divide before she subtracts?
wouldn't darnelle learn move if they found that out for themselves?
@IvoryKnight Well she posted this same problem before and I made the same suggestion so I'm guessing she is just waiting for someone to come along who will just post the answer instead of giving a hint.
@Mertsj So, you want to reward that type of behavior?. You are actively hurting them by letting them know that if they wait long enough, someone will do the work for them.
At least I thought she would know what error she is looking for and would do SOME work herself.
@Mertsj Good point, I apologize. I failed because that I saw the answer quickly enough from your reply that I assumed you had just given her the answer, stupid One Mind Fallacy (assuming that everyone's mind is like your own)
Not a problem. Carry on.
