Look at the figure. What is the length of AB?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7+10*sqrt(3)/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

17?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

eh one sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do you solve that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My scientific calculator keeps saying 17 >.<

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12.77350269189626 now i got that lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

PB= 7/tg(45) AP= 10*tg(30)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i even do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhhh you need more theory before you start to solve

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm only in geometry 1 btw lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you need only to know the ratios for a 45-45-90 triangle are \[1:1:\sqrt{2}\] and for a 30 -60- 90 triangle they are \[1:\sqrt{3}:2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the second one one tells you \(AP=10\sqrt{3}\) and the first one tells you \(PB=7\) and therefore \(AB=7+10\sqrt{3}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

24.32050807568877?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks for explaining so that i could understand xD
