Why we are laplace transform in finding the transient response for any D.C circuit

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't think we use laplace tranform to plot transient response for DC circuit , because transient response is viewed in respect to time, not frequency

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for dc only i am saying , i have seen in my text book. they have solved the diffrential equation using laplace and classical method for finding the transient current

Friend, wherever there are differential equations involved, even if it is transient response of dc circuit, we can use Laplace Transform. In a circuit with energy storage elements, voltages and currents are the solutions to linear, constant coefficient differential equations, therefore we can use Laplace Transform in dc transient response analysis also.

finding transient response is just solving a differential equation ,by laplace trasform we do it easily with out bothering about the intial conditions unlike solving differential equations in convential way
