since this is a rectangle, we know the diagnols bisect each other. i.e., 

5x-7 = 2x -1

solve for x here and to get the length of the diagnol, plug x into 2(2x-1).  and that will be your answer.

3x - 7 = -1

add 7 to both sides
3x - 7 + 7 = -1 + 7
