Hi guys I NEED HELP REAL QUICK PLEASE HELP ASAP. what was the long term effect of the invention of the machine gun during ww1 and 2

OpenStudy (lanre):

The effects of machine guns in world war I and 2is that opposing sides had the abbility to take down their enemies from far distances faster. The machine gun was the cause for entrenchment. The Machine gun forced them to dig, the artillery kept them there. Armies could no longer win wars by mass numbers alone. New tactics had to be devised and new eapons to keep up with the growth in technology.
