One example I have been reading about is LHC, twp protons smashed together burst into energy then form various forms of energy and particles.

And then there are trees, which gathering minerals and water and use the energy from light to make various things - is not that converting the energy of light into matter?

its simple ...the big bang is the best example for this...there was no matter at the moment of bigbang...only energy then only mass appeared
