whats the difference between dielectric and insulator

I guess you already know what an insulator is. So i will tell you what a dielectric is.. A dielectric material is a substance that is a poor conductor of electricity, but an efficient supporter of electrostatic fields.

dielectric is called insulator &a system of bounded charge. it is of two types. -polar -non polar
