PLEASE HELP!!!!!
Would someone please explain why the quantities in both Column A and Column B are equal? (drawing attached)

"In triangle ABC, BC is perpedicular to AC."

Column A: (w+z)
Column B: (x+y)

\[x+y+z+w=180^\circ\]
\[z+w=90^\circ\]
thus \[x+y+90^\circ=180^\circ\]

so \[x+y=90^\circ\]
