Hello! I'm having an issue with Idle, perhaps someone could help me resolve it? I have everything installed properly, and Idle runs fine, however when I try to run more than one line of code, it only runs the first line. For example, if I try to run the first problem set code, Idle will only execute the first line of code (ie, dob = raw_input ('What is your date of birth?'), but wont run any of the subsequent lines of code. Any idea on how to fix this issue? Thanks everyone!

you have to open a "new window" under file and enter the code in there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What you;re typing into is the shell that runs the code. A new window will actually store the code until you run it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right, now how do I run the code after it has been pasted in a "new window"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

at the top of the new window is a "Run" menu. You can also hit "F5"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, I see you're a Mac user, so when the new window is the active window, the menu bar will have the run option. Try typing - print "hello" and then selecting Run from the menu.
