What type of correlation would you expect from a scatterplot of number of games played versus average hits per game?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that the entire question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Pearson's r correlation runs from -1 to 1. Idk enough about the context of the question, but if you have example data you can use =corr in excel or use cor in R to get the number

hey thats y it confused me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you got a lot of hits, you might play a lot more??? By that logic I would say anywhere from 0 to 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but its either strong negative weak negative weak positive no correlation

I would think it's weak positive for 2 reasons: they only give you one positive option, and if you have more hits, you're going to play in more games.
