Solve the equation
i did this some days ago.
what is the answer
Solve it.
how
First off, how would you add or subtract these fractions? 2/5 - 1/10 You can apply this same trick to your equation!
i dont know
Remember that you can multiply anything by 1 and it'll still be the same number. So we can be clever and say that 2/2 is 1, right? So in the problem I made, you can multiply 2/5 times 2/2 to get 4/10. Now you are subtracting 4/10 - 1/10 see?
ok so it is what
4/10-1/10 is 3/10. But that's the answer to my question. That should be enough information to solve your problem, right? If you need more help I'm here!
but 3/10 isnt an answer
It's the answer to the example I gave you, not the answer to your question. You have to answer that question yourself.
What @Kainui is trying to say, is that you need to have to same denominator in order to add or substract two fractions.
can you help me with th ereal question
Let me give you a hint, two, actually; Here we go 1. Factoring 2. Conjugate Now you have to solve it by yourself, good luck! :)
