why don't u just take the volume of 1 of those 8x7x7 prism and multiply it by 2.5?

area of base =8*7 =56 volum of a square = area of base time height = 56 *7 = 392
there are two squares so 392 * 2 = 784
- so if you check it the intermediar corp is a square with the same dimensions just halfed on a diagonal line - so than this volum will be the volum of a square halfed so than will be 392/2 = 196
- so than the volum of this corp will be 784 + 196 = 980
