How does the buildup of lactic acid in muscle cells result in more oxygen being delivered to your cells?

OpenStudy (lanre):

During exercise or when we do energy consuming work involving muscle cells, the muscle will run out of oxygen, then the body oxygen production will not be able to march the rate at which oxygen is being used. The muscle cells will then undergo anaerobic respiration, instead of aerobic respiration. Anaerobic respiration causes the build up of lactic acid. This lactic acid will then later be broken down to carbon dioxide and water when the body can produce enough oxygen.
