True or false: The Vietnam War led President Johnson to lose focus on the Great Society programs.

True. Many of the funds that were to go to help fight poverty in the programs dedicated to the Great Society were diverted to fight in Vietnam instead, stalling further efforts. The war also eroded Johnson's popularity and overshadowed the programs he wanted to put into place. Though Johnson so wanted to do as much with the Great Society as possible, he couldn't because of Vietnam.
