58.5 million excess electrons are inside a closed surface. What is the net electric flux through the surface? I know that flux is Qinside/E0 (where E0 is a constant). I got -1.058*10^-22, but web assign is saying that's wrong. I know its some simple thing like an orders of magnitude error, but I'm confused on what I'm doing wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what value of Eo are u using?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am using 8.85e10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

check the value of E0.i think its wrong..

OpenStudy (stormfire1):

\[\epsilon_0=8.85x10^{-12}\]

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

\[ \epsilon_0 =8.85\times 10^{-12} \frac {\text{F}}{\text m}\]

OpenStudy (stormfire1):

blah :P

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

the units are very important, this is physics
