How do I solve this question? 2/3y+7=17

OpenStudy (anonymous):

subtract 7 from both sides to get the variables alone...so u get 2/3y = 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply both sides by 3 to get the 3 out of the denominator so you get 6y = 30

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide both sides by 6 to get y alone so you get y = 5

OpenStudy (compassionate):

2 ------ = 17 3y + 7 There is no solution.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it's (2/3y)+7=17
