What word best describes the Realist's and Modernist's perspective on the world? A. Objective B. Passionate C. Subjective D. Unemotional

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know its not subjective, but Idk the answer but I will look and sd see if I can figure it out!

thank you (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would have to say the answer would be either passionate or subjective.

A perspective through a Realist or Modernist's eyes would probably be based on their feelings, thoughts, tastes. In that case it would be personal, right? So subjective.

Thank You so much!

Russian Circus, don't you think a Realist's perspective would be logical rather than emotional? Your logic leads to either Objective or Emotional; whereas I should agree with your final answer. It's either Subjective or Unemotional.

What's the context? Is this art, philosophy, etc.? The answer might be very different for different subjects. That having been said, the best general answer would be "Objective." Realists (in various fields) assume that they can understand what is happening in the real world based upon their observations. Modernists (ala Hegel) are firm believers in scientific inquiry and in the objective findings they believe it can yield. Issues of perspective (which yields issues of passion, emotion, and subjectivity) are addressed by Post-Modernists as a response to the failed objectivity of Modernity.
