in a game of craps using two dice, a don't pass bettor wins even money if the shooter rolls a two or three. What is the possibility of wining a sum of 2 or 3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There is only one way to roll a two (snake-eyes) and there are two ways to roll a three (one-two or two-one). This means there are 3 possible winning dice rolls. Our total number of possible dice throws is 36, because each die has 6 sides and 6*6=36. The probability is \[\frac{number of winning dice throws}{number of possible dice throws}\]

Hm...the top says "Number of winning dice throws" and the bottom says "Number of possible dice throws." Don't forget to reduce the fraction.
