so lets make years=x and life expectancy=y also lets make 1993=x=1 and 1997=x=4 and the y values 63.6 and 67.1 respectively
so you would get 2 points out of the info (1,63.6) and (4,67.1) now the question is asking for a linear function so lets find the slope of the 2 points
