I cant understand why people use yahoo answers and other sites to quickly post the answers as a link i just encountered a situation where a user who was rewarded for such a use .they havent done anything on the qn still given medals :( i took my time to answer this .i was dissapointed :( http://openstudy.com/study?login#/updates/4fcb51a0e4b0c6963ad4f69c
@parthkohli, @apoorvk, what u guys think?
If an asker is only looking for an answer, then they will tend to pick the first one they get and leave without a discussion. For people who are trying to learn and study, they will hang around and interact with the answerers.
@amistre64 isnt openstudy for learning ??I think no one is encouraged to look for answers here!
we cant dictate peoples motives, we can only try to get them to adhere to the intent of this site.
my main concern is if this kind of activity like posting links to solved answers is according to the intent of the site
the link seems to be rather thorough in its answer tho.
hmm.. u see i saw the qn and spent a lot of time to write that out ,while somebody who passed by posted a link and got all the medals i was dissapointed
the link itself is not a bad thing, its a tool people use to help clarify a position. As long as they are not trying to take credit for a copy paste, then there seems to be no ethical thing involved
your response to the question was good, but overall; its the luck of the draw
k . i see i just wanted to knw thx anyway
good luck :)
i find it funny though...why didnt the asker just ask in yahoo answers if he would just accept yahoo answer answers =)))))
^that lol
