-10(Y-1)=-3Y-11?

Parth (parthkohli):

You may distribute. \( \color{Black}{\Rightarrow -10y + 10 = -3y - 11 }\) Add 11 to both sides. \( \color{Black}{\Rightarrow -10y + 21 = -3y }\) Add 10y to both sides. \( \color{Black}{\Rightarrow 7y = 21 }\) Divide both sides by 7. \( \color{Black}{\Rightarrow y = 3}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can do that way^^ or Distribute 10y + 10 = -3y -11 subtract 10 to the other side -10y = -3y -21 and 3y to the other side -7y = -21 Divide by -7 y=3 :)
