Solve using substitution 5x - 4y = 14 x - 2y = -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve for x in one plug it in the second and solve for it. then use that result which will be a number to plug it back to either equation to solve for last variable.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=4 x=6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol or you can just do what @ahaines14 did :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

consider value of x as x=-2+2y and then put that in 1 equation and u will get value of y now put y in value of x u considered.
