I got 12pi is this correct??? PLEASE SOMEONE HELP :-)

By just looking at the picture, the area is less than 12 pi. I got it myself to be equal to 6 pi

According to the formula given at the end of http://www.maa.org/pubs/Calc_articles/ma063.pdf, the answer is 6pi, since a=1 and b=3.
