f(x) = 0.3x^4 − 2.7x^3 + 1.5x^2 + 5 use synthetic division to find f(1) can someone teach me how to solve this?

sam (.sam.):

They've given you f(1), that means that (x-1) is a factor of the whole equation

sam (.sam.):

So you take (x-1) divide 0.3x^4 − 2.7x^3 + 1.5x^2 + 5

sam (.sam.):

So you do the synthetic division,

sam (.sam.):

The remainder is 4.1

sam (.sam.):

So, f(x) = 0.3x^4 − 2.7x^3 + 1.5x^2 + 5 f(1) = 4.1
