Really need help! -Compare and contrast troubadours with today's singer-songwriters. In what ways are they similar? What differences are there between the troubadour and today's musician? -How has music changed from prehistoric or ancient times? Troubadours were traveling poet-musicians who traveled from place to place, singing and performing for the nobility. The songs that they sang were generally monophonic and the troubadour often accompanied himself with an instrument such as a lyre or even drums.
For me, the music before talks more about problems, feelings... Basically, everyday life.. Which also has in our music today although these days we hear or listen to music based on the tune and not even understanding the lyrics or meaning behind those words anymore.. So I think musicians these days write and composes music based on their feelings (i.e. love), unlike in the past which is more historical or everyday life (i.e. war).. I'm not sure if I even make any sense.. >_<
I understand thank you :)
Cool! Awesome! Hope that helped.. :D
