The shaded area looks like 1/4 of the whole area

solve the perimeter of the whole area first
600 = P
2l + 2w = P
lets say that l=200
w=100
so 2(200) + 2(100) =600

now lets find the perimeter of the shaded area (1/4)
so l=200/4 = 50
w= 100/4 = 25

and P = 2l+ 2w
= 2(50) + 2(25)
=100 +50
=150
