Find the period of..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

trigonometry is during 4th period...:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[-3 \cos (x + \pi) - 7\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lool. ;-;

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the -3 only changes the affects the amplitude the -7 only shifts the whole graph down the + pi only shifts the graph horizontally. the expression should therefore still have the same period as y = cos x... what's the period of cos x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you lost me. ;c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2pi... is the period... i think i may have lost myself...:( lemme double check...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's correct, Dpainc.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what @dpaInc is trying to say is that only multiplying the (x) will change the period of the graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks... @SmoothMath .... :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But how'd you guys get that o;
