A flower was found to have two sets of opposing spirals formed by florets. The clockwise spiral has x florets. The number of florets in the counterclockwise direction is 4 less than that in the clockwise direction. These floret numbers are consecutive numbers in the Fibonacci sequence. Which equation is true for the number of florets in the two spirals?
@binary3i @beeqay Help?
Do you guys know this, or...?
Sorry I just saw this but sorry I can't help. Haven't done fibonacci numbers.
I'll try and understand the concepts and then solve your problem...
Thanks! Please hurry. :)
Ok so I did some research and you have this \[\lim_{n? \rightarrow \infty?} F_n/F _n-1 = \phi =1.61802.....\] So this means, the greater number would be on top and the smaller one at the bottom. In your case. Your answer would be \[x/x-4 =1.6180\]
D?
C
x over = 1.6 x-4
That ^ :)
THANK YOU!
Yes
I have one more quick question. Would you mind if I add it on this thread?
Points L (-8, 10), M (-4, 10), N (-4, 6), and O (-8, 6) are plotted on a coordinate grid. Which statement is correct about the points? They do not form a square because LM is not perpendicular to MN. They do not form a square because the side lengths are not congruent. They form a square because diagonals LN and MO are congruent. They form a square because LM is perpendicular to ON and MN is perpendicular to LO. I know it is either C or D. I'm thinking D. What do you think?
No problem
Just asked! :)
It's C because the lines LM and ON are parallel and will never meet so can't be perpendicular to each other. Also the diagonals LN and MO have the same length making them congruent
