What is the total surface area of the tent in square feet? Assume no material is used on the bottom of the tent.

Since all the sides are in pairs:
the total surface area should be the sum,
2*(4ft*9ft) + 2*(4ft*6ft) + 2*(5ft*9ft) + 2* (1/2 * 4ft*5ft)
Sum it up and that should be your answer!
