Practice safe food handling and cook foods thoroughly. Choices A, B, and D can be eliminated because they are irrational measures (and in some cases, dangerous). Also, most of the pathogens that carry the illnesses are already in the meat.  That is why people who consume 'rare' or uncooked meats are more likely to get sick, because the food has raw, live pathogens in it. Hope that helps. :)
