What are three ways that you could become a more critical viewer and consumer?

If this is for a class, then your teacher may be looking for specific answers, but I'd think that most answers would revolve around considering the source of the information you view/consume.
1. Who wrote/made/published/broadcasted it?
2. What are their intentions?
3. What might they gain from convincing you of their way of thinking?
4. What are their biases, beliefs, values, etc.?
5. What might be a counterargument or an alternate interpretation of what they are reporting/presenting?
