Find the lateral area of the prism. Round your answer to the nearest whole number. The bases are the large 13 x 4 rectangles. https://www.connexus.com/content/media/461958-3232011-35122-PM-1691221172/res00000/ppg/examview/S_GEOMB_05_Unit_Test/mc003-1.jpg

The lateral area would be 13*4- that's for one lateral face, but because this is 3D and there are 2 lateral faces, you's multiply your product by 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

13*4=52 2 sets of 52= 104

those are my answers 68 m2 156 m2 120 m2 172 m2

i have to pick one

If those are your only choices, then I'm confused. Wait- is lateral area in your school the same thing as surface area?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Like if you were going to wrap a box with wrapping paper, would the amount of paper you used be lateral area?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If so, then it would be 172. But I'm not sure if that's what your teacher means.

thanks anyways
