I need too a mathematical phrase you might use in the real world and need the translation for it, and identify which part of the phrase is a variable?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you mean.? I need like a written problem.

hero (hero):

Gas costs $4 a gallon means the same thing as 4x = c x = number of gallons c = cost

hero (hero):

So, for example if you want 3 gallons, then: x = 3 and 4x = c 4(3)=c 12 = c so 3 gallons will cost $12

hero (hero):

That's a simple example

Oh, Alright. I get what your saying now. :) Thank you
