so you have 7 pictures on a wall and your trying to find out whats the total length that they occupy on the wall

the length of the first picture is 10 inches and each one after that is +4 inches longer

1st picture) 10 inches
2nd picture) first picture +  4 inches
3rd picture) 2nd picture + 4 inches

etc

Sigma notation is just that E sign which means the total length, so write a equation and put the sigma notation
