The figure below shows a circular prop with two triangles labeled ABC and AOC made on it. The center of the prop is labeled O. What is the area of the cloth required to make the circular prop? 3.14 ft2 6.28 ft2 10.32 ft2 12.56 ft2
Can I safely rule out the first choice?
@AccessDenied Could you look at this please?
Angle O and angle B intercept the same arc. So angle O is a right angle and triangle AOC is an isosceles right triangle with hypotenuse 2. So the legs which are radii of the circle are 2/sqrt2 or sqrt2. If the radius is sqrt2, the area is pi (sqrt2)^2=2pi=6.28
Thank you! That was very helpful!

How is it that angle O is a right angle @Mertsj ?
An inscribed angle is 1/2 its arc. Angle B is an inscried angle and its measure is 45 so its arc is 90. A central angle is equal to its arc. Angle O is a central and intercepts the same arc as angle B so its measure is 90...same as its arc

Just learned something new - thanks for that!
