lol this sounds familiar...SES is caused by many things. In fact, a general answer would say that life causes SES. Think of SES as a ranking system. SES has High, Middle, and Low, depending on your personal status. The factors of SES will range from three main areas: 1. Income 2. Education 3. Occupation. So for example, if you have more income, then you will be in a higher rank as opposed to an individual or family that has a lower income. This is true with the other area factors-education and occupation. As far as consequences, SES will hinder social inequality, social stratification, and status attainment, etc.
