well quantum mechanics is like a mathematical model used to predict the location of an election and also the amount of allowed energy an electron can have
and i guess the electron configuration supports it by the larger the atom, the more complex the configuration of electrons you’ll find

Electron configuration supports it because quantum mechanics gives us a very good mathematical model that matches reality. Keep in mind that all math is just models used to describe things, not fact. It's almost like math is the language for describing the world, just as you use "hot", "warm", "burning" to describe something, one of those words might be more accurate than another.
