Quadrilateral RSTU is a rectangle with diagonal RT. If m = 8x + 4 and = 3x – 2, find x. A. 11 B. 16.18 C. 8 D. 5.125

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it supposed to read m = 8x + 4 m = 3x - 2 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if M angle RTU =8x+4 and angle STR =3x-2, find x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is there a picture to go along with this? of a square? or something

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no but there should be

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in any case, i assume 8x + 4 and 3x - 2 add up to 90 degrees (they are co-angles) not precisely sure how this is solved though. I tried setting them equal, didn't get the right answer. i gotta go though good luck mayne

i recommend trying to draw a picture of a square (don't assume it is a square though), with points R, S, T and U, and a line from R to T. the problem will make a lot of sense after that

ok thanks anyways
