What is the change in perimeter of a triangle with side lengths of 7 cm, 13 cm, and 10 cm if it is dilated by a scale factor of 3? would change be the same by a factor of 3 ??

OpenStudy (ash2326):

@suzy4321 do you know how to find perimeter?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (ash2326):

Find the perimeter of the original triangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont understand dilated

OpenStudy (ash2326):

To dilate means to scale up, if you dilate by 3 then each side will be 3 times of the original side \[7\longrightarrow 7 \times 3=21\] Now you find all the sides and then find perimeter, then compare new perimeter with the original perimeter
