for example\[\frac {15}{5}=\frac{5\times3}{5}=\frac{\cancel5\times3}{\cancel5}=\frac{3}{1}=3\]

if a number is a percent
it can be written as a fraction with denominator 100\[52\%=\frac{52}{100}\]
this can be simplified further
\[\frac{52}{100}=\frac{4\times13}{4\times25}=\frac{\cancel4\times13}{\cancel4\times25}=\frac{13}{25}\]

actually there are a lot of nice people around that will help.... all you gotta do is post ur question and someone will come around.... for the most part, i seen most tutors are very helpful...and if you have a favorite, you can always tag them if they're online...
